Bodhi competed in the Mopar Pro Superbike class of the Canadian Superbike Championship.
The start of the season was in Shannonville, Ontario. This was Bodhi's first national race on his new BMW s1000RR Superbike. It was a great sunny weekend until about 10 minutes before the race on Sunday. It started to rain. A little nerve wracking never having ridden the BMW in the rain before. The bike was phenomenal in the rain and allowed Bodhi to get comfortable on it quickly. He finished his first Superbike race in seventh place.
Second round in St. Eustache was extremely hot. The riding conditions were physically draining. Exhausting weekend for the team but a sixth place finish was encouraging.
Third round in Shubenacadie, NS! Fun weekend as always because Bodhi loves the track at AMP. The race went great, starting to get close to the leaders. Fifth place finish!
Fourth round in Mont Tremblant, QC. This was a difficult weekend. Raining all weekend was a disappointment because the track is beautiful and would have been awesome to run in the dry. Magically it started to dry right before the race which wasn't a good thing because by Sunday afternoon after a weekend of rain practice we had our wet setup down. Going into a half dry, half wet race we had to take a gamble with our setup. The race was exciting and managed to pull out a sixth place. Really looking forward to going back to race at Mont Tremblant again!
Round five and six at Mosport (Canadian Tire Motorsports Park). Was a dramatic weekend. Bodhi was really excited to race the Superbike here. Saturday's race was filled with lots of battles, finishing in fifth place. Sunday was the last race of the season and Bodhi was determined to get his best finish yet. The race had some heated battles with multiple competitors and in the end Bodhi took his first Superbike podium, in third place.
Overall Bodhi finished fifth in the season standings.
